There is about 15,000 reported species of these kind of wasps and 50,000 are predicted to exists. They are very picky on which animals they use as hosts. Each one only uses one kind of host, usually a caterpillar. They find there hosts by smelling chemicals released in the air. They often find the same kind of caterpillar that they were hatched in. When they put their eggs in the host they add a chemical that prevents the caterpillars immune system from killing the larva. The wasps only grow to about 3 millimeters as shown in the videos.
