Mimic Octopus

Mimicry is an understatement to the magic this animal possesses

This animal is one of the smartest animals known and trust me, he can back it up. This octopus can transform its body into any shape it wants in order to survive an encounter with a predator or sneak up on its prey. You just have to see it for yourself. More info below.

The mimic octopus is found in Malaysia and Indonesia and its main diet consists of fish, worms and crabs. It typically lives on open barren (but nutrient rich) sea floors, which probably necessitated its advanced mimicry since there is little cover to hide behind. They are about 2 feet long and they have been seen mimicking sole fish, lion fish, sea snakes, sea anemones, and jellyfish.  They have been seen imitating a crab, attracting a mate, then eating it.
